The Curry 'n Jazz 2008 - 5th July 2008
A spectacular fund raising event was held at The Grand on Cathies Lane, Wantirna by HELP Sri Lanka in aid The Village Heartbeat Project – Melbourne.

The Village Heartbeat Project – Melbourne, supported by HELP will see a village, based on the model at Seenigama, but far more modest, being built by The Foundation of Goodness, Sri Lanka.

The MC, Mr Jay Mueller, (Producer, Breakfast with Ross and John, Radio 3AW) lead the evening of inspiring music by The Pippa Wilson Swingtet and The Jack Morris Big Band.

Chief Guest, The Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser, A.C. and his wife Mrs Jan de Kretser endorsed the project with their presence. Keen Jazz fans, the Governor and his wife delighted in the musical presentation.

Approximately 300 guests enjoyed a Sri Lankan smorgasboard and raised additional funds via a ‘Silent Auction’ held during the evening.
